How long have you been working in real estate?
I have been involved in the real estate industry for 12 years as a real estate investor, and have been a licensed Realtor for over two years now.
What is your proudest moment in real estate?
Three months into my career as an agent, I was referred to high-end clients moving from California to Pittsburgh. I was able to navigate them through the purchase of their $1.5 million dollar home in Sewickley Heights — all while they were packing up and preparing to sell their home in CA. I introduced my clients to many service providers in the Pittsburgh area to assist in their transition. I even provided transportation to and from the airport when they came to town to look at homes. I felt extremely accomplished for being such a new agent and successfully navigating my clients through their home purchase!
What is a favorite or unique home you have sold?
My absolute favorite home was a storybook cottage on Backbone Road in Sewickley. This property had amazing historic detail including split staircases and original windows. This home was my favorite when I first move to the Sewickley area!
What is your best advice for sellers?
Consider staging your home to make it more marketable and to give buyers the best first impression possible. Planning and preparation are the best rewards in selling your home. As your agent, I believe it is crucial to allow me to give you all of the current market information that will best reflect your selling price range target.
What is your best advice for buyers?
I believe that an informed buyer is a happy buyer, so let’s meet and go over the buying process, the current market and get paired with a mortgage broker that can get you the best in your buying power. Also, most homes show the best in person so try not to discredit a potential property by the photos provided.
What is your advice to other agents?
Be collaborative and kind! Work together to get the deal done. It looks better from both sides.
What is your strongest real estate skill?
Staying positive through stressful situations has been greatly appreciated by my clients! It truly helps them stay focused on the end results! I am also very approachable and connect with people very easily.
What do you like most about the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand?
The impeccable world class marketing that Sotheby’s International Realty offers to all clients is outstanding! I believe that being involved with an international “brand” brokerage gives our clients a wider audience of home buyers.
Where are you originally from?
I am from Bellingham, Washington which is about 80 miles north of Seattle by the Canadian border.
What do you love most about Pittsburgh?
I love the opportunity for growth that Pittsburgh emulates. It is definitely an exciting time to live here!
What was your career before real estate?
I’ve had two major careers prior to real estate that I believe set the tone for me to be an amazing agent. Right before becoming a real estate agent, I sold high-end performance vehicles with BMW, Porsche and Audi in the northern Pittsburgh Area.
For a very long time when I lived in the Pacific Northwest, I was a Master Colorist, Master Stylist, Salon Manager and Regional Educator for Wella Color. I advance trained at Vidal Sassoon, Los Angeles CA.
What is your favorite Pittsburgh restaurant, and why?
This is definitely a hard one. I have a few favorites and all for different reasons. I love Café Notte for their Lobster Bisque, Meat and Potatoes for their bone marrow, and Tako for their shrimp tacos and amazing margaritas!
What is one of your hobbies?
I love to rehab and flip furniture! I have done a few pieces for a local interior designer.
Where can we find you on the weekends?
If I am not with clients, you can find me with my family on an adventure around the city or planning my other company’s next flip or working on design elements for its current project.
What’s something we may not know about you?
I am a grandma! A very, very young cool grandma to two very handsome grandsons, Jackson and Carson.
